Health: Health Tip #1

I don’t usually comment on the news or current events, though the scare around the corona virus has really taken to new heights and many are concerned about catching or transmitting it.

As a result, I'm going to veer from my discussion on overwhelm and focus on this for the next few days by offering tips and strategies you can use to stay healthy during these uncertain times.

If you have followed my work, you know there is one technique that I talk about over everything else. The technique has helped me in breaking habits, developing skills, managing anxiety, and above all, improving my health -in ways you can't image.

The technique is Self-Talk

In case you don't know, self-talk are statements that you say or repeat to yourself of the changes you want to have or have happen in life.

For example, if you want to become more confident or enhance your memory, you would repeat statements like I am strong and confident or I have an excellent memory.

On the surface, repeating such statements may not seem all that helpful, but it’s HUGE! Overtime, the statements seep deep into your unconscious and rewire your mind to act out what the statements describe.

That means by regularly repeating I am strong and confident, you actually start to become confident. Repeating I have an excellent memory improves your memory.

In the same way...

Repeating self-talk about health can improve your health

Not only can it improve your health, but also boost your immune system and ability to recover from sickness or disease.

Your thoughts are powerful, they have the ability to heal you or keep you sick.

There is a lot of science around it, but I won't bore you with the details.

So, if you are worried about the corona virus, getting sick, or are generally not in good health, I've created a set of statements you can repeat.

Self-Talk For Better Health & Immunity

- I am healthy and strong.
- My immune system is strong and powerful. It protects and heals me.
- My immune system is working every day to heal me. It is restoring me to my best.
- Any sickness or disease I may have is being cured.
- I am healing. My body is healing. My mind is healing.
- Every day in every way, I’m getting better, better, and better.
- I’m happier, wealthier, and healthier than yesterday.
- I exercise and eat healthy. I enjoy exercising and eating healthy.
- I am eating nutritious foods and drinking plenty of water.
- I feel good, my body feels good, and I radiate good health.
- I'm blessed to have a healthy body & take good care of it.
- I am vigorous, energetic, and full of vitality.

These are some examples, but feel free to add your own statements or change them to fit your special need or circumstance.

Again, you may not think repeating such statements can do all that much, and that's o.k.

You don’t need to believe in self-talk for it to work!

All you need is to affirm the statements.

The key is regular and frequent.

I recommend repeating each statement 10x, twice daily. Preferably once in the morning as you wake up, and once in the evening, as you are about to fall asleep. This is when your unconscious is the most receptive to the messages.

This is as good a vaccine as any during this time of severe isolation

That's because self-talk doesn't require a medically trained staff, expensive medications, supplements or anything else...not even for you to move.

All it requires is to be with yourself and your thoughts, which is what we all have a lot of right now!

If repeated as described, self-talk can act as an extra precaution against the corona and other ailments.
